Space Planning and Project Management, Yacht Designer, Draftsman/Designer on Mega Yachts 90-200 foot range. Extraordinarily fast and accurate Draftsman, Incredibly detailed and realistic 3D models using VIZ, AutoCAD, Ashlar Velum and Photoshop. Project management and managed company server, plotters printers and Internet. I brought this firm into the 21st Century of Design Technology, 3D Modeling and Renderings done by me are still prized possessions of theirs.

Cruise Ship Designer - Senior Draftsman

Responsible for design and drafting Interior spaces and exterior profile. Space Planning from 100sqft to 100,000sqft. Work extensively with Architects and Lead Project manager in adjusting “GA” General arrangements for cruise ships. Responsible for drawing and designing cabins and public spaces. Competent draftsman able to utilize advanced capabilities of AutoCAD 3D and 2D Drawings. Provided past experience in designing architectural lighting for cruise ships.

Engineering Technician - Draftsman

Sep. 1996 – Dec. 2000

Employed as Engineering Technician / Draftsman. Duties include Setting and maintaining worldwide company Auto CAD Standards. Entering Engineers notes into legible AutoCAD drawings that adhere to corporate standard suitable for delivery to cruise ship clients as “as built” drawing package. Set up structure and maintain company internal public engineering drive. Prepare quotes for clients based on requirement specifications supplied by shipyard, calculating GPM markup and presenting to vice presidents for approval. Also design and prepare internal Graphic design for signage and internal stationary. Designed show lounges, back lounges and entertainment systems for Cruise lines all the major lines, Celebrity, Royal Caribbean, Cunard, HAL, Silver Seas.

Celebrity Cruises,

Fleetwide AV Manager - Technical Director

Dec. 1993 - Jul. 1996

Duties included maintenance and repair of all Celebrity Cruises Entertainment department’s A/V equipment. Scheduling and implementing all audiovisual support on board the M/V Horizon. My primary duties were Scheduling A/V Technicians around the ship, as well as daily events to maintain a “Team-work” atmosphere. I was also responsible for lighting design, with a full static lighting rig and intelligent lighting fixtures. I have also evaluated and inspected technicians and equipment on board the M/V Zenith, S/S Meridian and have assisted the Stage Manager of Silversea’s M/V Silvercloud on short-term projects.

Royal Canadian Armoured Corps,

Trooper - Royal Canadian Electrical Mechanical Engineers

Mar. 1989 - Dec. 1993

Employed with the Department of National Defense, Ontario Regiment, Oshawa, Ontario as a vehicle technician. Achieved rank of Trooper. Responsible for the maintenance and repair of all DND Personnel Carriers and Ground Assault vehicles. Also familiar with the logistics of troop moments, having arranged several, as well as regular combat training, and respective duties.
